So what exactly does the VP of Education/Advocacy do? My position is in charge with educating the UGA campus and the greater Athens area about the issue of substandard housing in the Athens area.

Each semester, we put on a variety of advocacy event oncampus to increase the call to action for the housing issue in the area. In the spring wehost the Habitat extravaganza known as Act!Speak!Build! Week. This is a week longevent where UGA Habitat for Humanity holds a different event each day of the week atvarious venues around campus.

Past events include a letter writing campaign, povertydinner, scavenger hunt, street painting, and our annual sleep out. In the fall semester wecelebrate world Habitat day which is always an educational treat. So if you ever needanyone to contact about UGA Habitat for Humanity or want to get involved when any ofthese events mentioned above, email treehow@uga.edu or fill out the form posted.
